Legends:
Known to unfold its leaves 1-2 weeks before other beeches. I 1914, forest supervisor O. Bondo cut the leafing date in the bark and he continued doing so the following 40 years. The earliest leafing was15.April 1945.

Today remains only a hollow, burned stump.
